The classic battle royale map is changing with the new season, shaking up the Downtown area with a new POI, along with the usual additions of new weapons, limited-time events, game modes, and more. Ranked Play on Resurgence? That’s back too. Happy summertime,Call of Dutyfans!

Warzone season 4 patch notes
A new point of interest is just the beginning as Verdansk continues to evolve after coming back in season three.
Weapon buffs and nerfs
The meta, it is a-changing. Get ready for buffs and nerfs to old guns, on top of five new weapons in season four.
Surprisingly, these buffs include several assault rifles like the AK-74, Ames 85, AS VAL, CR-56 AMAX, and many more. SMG buffs also came around this time, including for the C9, Jackal PDW, Kompakt 92, and Ladra, meaning just about every gun should perform better in the new update.

New weapons
Five new weapons will be dropping into loadouts everywhere as part of season four:
BR solos replaced by Casual
“Since launching Battle Royale Casual – a blend of players and clearly identifiable bots – we’ve seen it become a considerably popular option with positive reception overall,” Raven Software said. “Given its popularity, combined with our ongoing effort to keep playlist options focused and manageable, we’re going to experimentally replace core Battle Royale Solos with Battle Royale Casual Solos. While we understand the impact this will have for players who prefer core Battle Royale Solos, it is a compromise we’re comfortable with given the larger engagement with other playlist options.”
New POI – The Overlook
Downtown is changing in a big way with a new POI added to Verdansk this season. Welcome toThe Overlook.
“Dominate foes with a gigantic new skyscraper point of interest, available to Operators within the vicinity of Downtown!” Activision said. “The old tenement blocks, Burger Town, and SKN Comm tower have been demolished, and construction crews are finalizing a sprawling skyscraper that dominates the landscape! Look for a full recon tour below.”
New modes
Clash LTM(52 vs. 52 team deathmatch),Havoc Royale(15-minute matches, 44 players in Quads), andResurgence Casual(Rebirth Island with bots) are joining the existing modes available inWarzoneduring season four.
New limited time events
This season’s collab withJohn Wickspin-off movieBallerinaadds a new event with free rewards, Ana de Armas’s Eve Mecarro character as an operator, and more. A second event,Rivals, kicks off in mid-June with more rewards to earn, including some of the aforementioned weapons.
Resurgence Ranked Play returns
Trios can drop in to their own ranked playlist for Resurgence on Rebirth Island, coming later as part of Season Four Reloaded in June.
