Like the Last of Us, but with less us and more guy

The Last Guywas largely overlooked on PlayStation Network, which is a shame. The game’s simple but challenging arcade-style structure was a breath of fresh air on the PlayStation 3 when it was released back in 2008.

For those that haven’t played it,The Last Guyis a classicPac-Man-style maze game with a Google Maps twist. You run around real-life maps of various locations from around the world, rescuing civilians from the Purple-Zombie-Apocalypse. The more people you rescue, the longer your trail of human followers becomes. That can make it easier to rescue more people, but it also makes you an easier target. Stealth elements and a Katamari-style spirit of growth are topped off by a soundtrack that sounds almost exactly likePopcornby Hot Butter. Now that’s my idea of a good videogame.

It looks like Sony isteasing some new form of the game on the PS Vitato be relieved in weekly Famitsu on Marsh 21st. If you’re a Vita owner, or just like surviving, keep the game on your radar. Thanks,Guy.
