The world ofDragon’s Dogma 2is absolutely massive, and it’s packed with resources and items like Golden Trove Beetles that you might not even realize are incredibly important.
From the word go,Dragon’s Dogma 2drops you into a fantastical open-world map so large it will make your head spin. While the main quest effectively directs you between major settlements, there are plenty of side quests and collectibles to get lost with. This includes one I mistook initially for another food resource: Golden Trove Beetles. These vital bugs are nutritious, rare, and well worth seeking out early in the game.
All Golden Trove Beetle locations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Below is a list of the Golden Trove Beetles I’ve found so far in Dragon’s Dogma 2.Note that I’m still playing through the game and don’t believe I’ve found every single one just yet. If you’re starting a new save file, keep an eye out and find all or a few of these because their benefits, explained below, will help you in the long run.
A word of advice. Go looking for these beetles in the dark. They glow and are much easier to see at night. If you’re out in the day near one of their locations, you may still struggle to see them even if you’re standing on top of them.
What should you do with Golden Trove Beetles in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Golden Trove Beetles must be eaten by your character inDragon’s Dogma 2to increase their carry capacity. Each Golden Trove Beetle increases the character’s carry capacity by 0.15 KG. This might not seem like much, but it’s a noticeable amount when you’re blasting through a dozen quests every hour.
While playing, I’ve been accosted byevery NPC and their nanabout delivering a note, finding their brother, or killing some monster. Every quest awards delicious XP and cumbersome items to weigh you down. Since inns are few and far between, it pays to have a strong character who can cope with all the junk you’ll be rewarded with for helping the folk you encounter on your journey.
