Up for grabs on the Epic Game Store until March 19

It happened! Another week passed us by. It’s Thursday again, which means a new batch of free PC games is claimable and downloadable from the Epic Games Store. Today’s lineup is a doozy. Until 8:00 a.m. Pacific on Aug 05, 2025, you can grabA Short Hike,Mutazione, andAnodyne 2: Return to Dust.

I don’t always make the effort to add free stuff to my library – I’m sure almost all of you’re able to say the same thing – but this isn’t the time for inaction. It was worth taking three minutes to start the Epic launcher, wait for an inevitable update to download and install, and redeem these three great games.

A Short Hike, in particular, is worth playing right now if you need a pick-me-up. It’s a soothing animal adventure about hanging out, chatting, finding collectibles, and scaling a mountain, and the world is just pleasant to be in.Mutazione, a small-town mutant soap opera, is a feast for the eyes. AndAnodyne 2is here for everyone who still pines for a return to PS1-era experimentation and weirdness. (Raises hand.)

Not to be hyperbolic or anything, but I genuinely think this is one of the best groups of free games in recent memory, at least on Epic. I’m sure plenty of you already picked upA Short Hike, butMutazioneand especiallyAnodyne 2aren’t as widely-known around here. Give ’em a shot when time allows.
